Much like the tech industry, the world of HR is constantly changing and growing. Very often, these two worlds work hand-in-hand to try and provide the best and most efficient systems possible. After seeing some of the exciting changes that occurred in 2018, we’ve crafted a list of our picks for the top five HR technology trends that you can expect to see in 2019.

Automation

This might not sound like a new trend, as automation in one form or another has been present in the workplace for decades. However, the technology behind these automation processes has improved and expanded the capabilities of what tasks they can start assisting us with at the office. Some programs are now able to automate multiple aspects of hiring at the same time, and in 2019 we’ll likely see an increase in the use of these programs to create entirely automated hiring campaigns.

Wellness Apps

In order to create a great product, you have to have a great team behind it. This means having your employees operating at their mental and physical peaks every single day. Some companies are taking this matter into their own hands by integrating health and wellness apps into the workplace to track and encourage physical activity levels among their employees.

Audience Targeting

One of the biggest challenges facing businesses today is trying to figure out how to reach their potential customer base in the most efficient way possible. If you can’t reach your customers, then it doesn’t really matter how good your service is, because no one is ever going to know about it. The same goes for your internal communications. If your employees are unaware of the benefits while working for your company, then all effort put into making your organization the most enjoyable and innovative place to work would be for naught. Leverage your HR data to better target your employees in your messaging.

Virtual Reality

This technology isn’t just useful for gaming. It is also increasingly used in the workplace as well to develop employee performance without the potential risks. By using VR technology, a company can simulate the situations their employees might face on the job and see how they would react. They can then use these programs to better train their employees before they face these situations.

Money Management

While the financial well-being of a company should never be put above the well-being of its employees, it is still a very important aspect of the workplace. New emerging AI tech is able to pinpoint and alert us to any areas within our campaigns or budget that can better optimize to save some money. This can greatly assist companies in their goal of growth and development.  Of course, all the technology in the world won’t help your company if you don’t know how to effectively use it.
